About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing financial transactions related to accounts receivable, ensuring compliance with financial policies, and supporting the Senior Director in day-to-day operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the distribution industry and will play a key role in the monthly and year-end closing processes.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
• Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries
• Improve efficiency in financial and commercial departments by automating manual processing wherever possible
• Conduct ad hoc reporting upon request.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in accounts receivable
• Strong skills in analytics and problem-solving
• Experience with full cycle accounts receivable
• Proficiency in Excel and generating aging reports
• Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and manage chargebacks/RMA
• Experience in payment applications
