About the position

A prominent seafood company in Seattle is looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join their team on an open-ended, temporary basis. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be essential in managing financial transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of the accounting system. In this role, you will prepare and review sales invoices for accuracy and alignment with sales team instructions. You will manage and reconcile documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), inventory data, and invoices. Additionally, you will oversee monthly closings by reviewing and updating invoices, ensuring proper recording of title transfer dates. Monitoring AR aging reports, applying payments to invoices, and updating invoicing information in internal systems will also be part of your responsibilities. You will communicate with customers regarding payment status and handle special invoicing requests. You will excel in this role if you have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving!

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an AR role or similar
  • Proficient in financial software applications, including QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing large data sets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Degree in accounting or finance strongly preferred
