We are currently seeking a qualified Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our growing team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of the property accounts receivable process. This includes monitoring Yardi rents and billing, handling HAP/Subsidy Payments, managing Move In/Move Out Prorations, and collections, while ensuring compliance with various requirements such as LIHTC, HAP, Section 8, and tenant collections. In this role, the AR Specialist will ensure that all accounts receivable transactions are accurately recorded and maintained. This includes verifying that rent charges align with current Manager Certifications, Rent Schedules, and any Section 8 notices of contract rent adjustments. The specialist will also be responsible for confirming that Move In/Move Out transactions are processed on time and that any necessary ledger adjustments are made. Additionally, the AR Specialist will monitor and take prompt action on NSF/Failed Payments, ensuring that receipts are posted within the grace period and that late fees are applied appropriately. The position requires collaboration with internal departments, such as property managers and supervisors, to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues. The AR Specialist will also prepare and analyze various reports related to accounts receivable, assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, and stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
