About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health of our organization and requires a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for invoicing, managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with established accounting practices.

Responsibilities

• Invoice customers
• Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for
• Maintain detailed records of accounts receivable transactions, including invoices and payment history
• Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
• Assist in coding invoices and ensuring compliance with SOX regulations
• Collaborate with the billing department to manage medical billing processes as needed
• Utilize financial software for data entry and reporting purposes
• Support the operations team in various clerical tasks related to accounts receivable

Requirements

• Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy
• Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles
• Experience in account reconciliation and analysis
• Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and medical billing practices is a plus
• Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements is beneficial
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
