About the position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role involves overseeing the company's accounts receivable procedures, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, managing customer credits, and handling various AR reconciliations. The specialist will also manage cash receipts from large clients and communicate effectively via email.

Responsibilities

• Accurately handle all aspects of accounts receivable including invoicing, customer adjustments, credits, reconciliation, and aging reports.
• Process and verify applications for credit, soliciting payment of overdue accounts.
• Manage and reconcile a high volume of cash receipts, ensuring correct application towards outstanding invoices.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with larger customers, ensuring their accounts remain in good standing.
• Utilize SAGE X3 software for various accounting tasks and reporting.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive financial information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Finance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field preferred.
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a consumer product company.
• Proficiency in SAGE X3 software.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective email communication skills to articulate financial matters clearly.
• Strong understanding of AR processes including credit card transaction processing.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage a high volume workload.
