Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the position

The position involves processing accounts receivable transactions, including payments by check, ACH, and online payments. The role requires handling sensitive information confidentially and providing support for both internal and external audits. Responsibilities include preparing cash receipts for processing, performing account reconciliations accurately and timely, preparing interest statements, and managing a high volume of incoming calls and emails from franchisees and their staff. The candidate must be able to solve problems responsibly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts receivable transactions including payments by check, ACH, and online payments.
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Prepare cash receipts for processing.
• Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare interest statements.
• Answer a large volume of incoming calls and emails from franchisees and their staff.
• Solve problems responsibly and efficiently.

Requirements

• Proficiency in administrative tasks including 10 key and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Documentation skills.
• Professionalism in all situations in the workplace and when working with customers.
• Strong verbal skills.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in fast-paced high-stress situations.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
• Team-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior accounting experience preferred.
