About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Tetriq Solutions is responsible for managing billing invoices and collecting payments from customers, specifically within the construction industry. This role involves working closely with the Controller and project management team to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards. The position requires a proactive approach to collections and customer inquiries, as well as assisting with month-end and year-end reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send out accurate invoices to customers in a timely manner.
• Monitor incoming payments and accurately post them to customer accounts.
• Regularly reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate payment application and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and maintain aging reports, identifying overdue accounts and following up on outstanding balances.
• Proactively contact customers regarding overdue payments, negotiate payment plans, and maintain detailed records of all communications.
• Respond to customer queries related to billing, payments, and account status.
• Assist in closing financial periods by preparing necessary reports and providing information to management and auditors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable.
• Work closely with the project management team to resolve billing issues and disputes.
• Maintain detailed, organized, and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions.

Requirements

• 1 year of accounting experience (Required)
• 1 year of Microsoft Excel experience (Preferred)
• Supervising experience in a mid-level role
• Experience in the construction industry
