About the position

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of receivables and collections. This role requires strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, as well as effective communication with both employees and customers to ensure smooth financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and apply payments received from customers accurately and promptly
• Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices and overdue accounts via phone, email, or other communication channels
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes with customers
• Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing customers, establish credit limits, and monitor credit terms
• Process customer financing and submit for final payments
• Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to rental tenants
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and addressing customer concerns
• Support Accounts Payable with processing of incoming invoices and packing slips
• Perform month and year end procedures to close accounts receivable records
• Assist in preparing bank reconciliations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Self-starter with a high attention to detail
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial role
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
