Under the general direction of the CAHFS Business Officer, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor serves as the CAHFS Billing Manager responsible for managing centralized Accounts Receivable (A/R) functions for CAHFS's four branch locations. This role involves overseeing the processing of over 12,000 invoices with a total A/R of up to $9 million per year. The supervisor will be directly responsible for invoicing, payment processing, and resolving billing inquiries. As a technical lead and subject matter expert, the supervisor will review and approve financial documents for accuracy and appropriateness, ensuring compliance with University and CAHFS policies and procedures. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee client case reporting functions and act as the records custodian for the department, managing legal inquiries related to billing and accounts receivable. The position requires strong leadership and supervisory skills, as it involves managing a team of three staff members. The supervisor will be responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating staff while monitoring their performance to meet business objectives. The role also demands excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse group of individuals, including faculty, staff, clients, and government agencies. The Accounts Receivable Supervisor will utilize automated financial accounting systems and data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel and Tableau to produce financial reports and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. This position is critical to the financial operations of CAHFS, contributing to the overall mission of safeguarding public health through reliable diagnoses for animal diseases. The supervisor will play a key role in maintaining internal control practices and ensuring compliance with financial policies to prevent fraud and safeguard University resources. The initial salary placement for this position ranges from $67,700 to $90,900 annually, depending on educational background and relevant experience.
