About the position

The Supervisor position at Orthofix involves overseeing Accounts Receivable personnel to resolve third-party payer DME aging balances. Responsibilities

  • Oversee Accounts Receivable personnel resolving third-party payer DME aging balances.
  • Ensure daily account production and quality standards are met and exceeded.
  • Promote open communication and teamwork within the team.
  • Mentor and coach team members daily.
  • Complete all corporate-wide and departmental training in a timely manner.
  • Understand and promote compliance adherence.
  • Perform all responsibilities of an Account Receivable Collector III.
  • Provide leadership for a team of approximately 2-15 employees.
  • Make decisions and solve problems related to team operations.
  • Develop performance expectations and assign work to meet business goals.
  • Monitor team performance and provide training or resources as needed.
  • Create an ethical, non-discriminatory, and safe work environment.
  • Approve leave and overtime; review and approve time sheets.
  • Maintain oversight for timely and accurate follow-up on open aging accounts.
  • Communicate with other departments to maintain operational efficiencies.
  • Train and educate collectors on work instructions and policies.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a team environment and abide by Orthofix code of conduct.
  • Excellent organizational and written skills.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to run various programs with ease.
  • Excellent knowledge of third-party payer systems (National and Regional payer, Medicaid, Tricare, etc.).
  • Ability to present to groups with ease.
  • Ability to hold information in confidence and maintain confidentiality when required.
  • Thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 or more years of leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare-related field.
  • 5+ years of DME healthcare experience.
