About the position

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor at ITW is responsible for leading the accounts receivable team and ensuring compliance with financial policies. This role focuses on managing daily operations, improving processes, and developing team members while driving efficiency and accuracy in collections and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the accounts receivable team.
  • Monitor compliance metrics and manage collections for a high volume of customer transactions.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close procedures related to accounts receivable.
  • Provide insights into Past Due Aging and bad debt reserves.
  • Monitor AR aging reports and deliver timely financial metrics to management.
  • Oversee the credit approval process and ensure adherence to credit policies.
  • Analyze gross-to-net deductions and ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve deduction management and reduce outstanding balances.
  • Drive efficiencies and automation of processes by analyzing current practices and recommending changes.
  • Train, mentor, and develop AR team members, providing performance feedback.
  • Serve as a critical partner in ERP implementation of D365 business system and process documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between AR, internal audit, finance, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR processes.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Microsoft Navision and D365 preferred) and advanced MS Excel skills.
