The ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure is essential. The individual will work independently, demonstrating flexibility while prioritizing projects and responsibilities. Given the access to confidential information, discretion is paramount. The role requires sound judgment, professionalism, and courteousness at all times. Attention to detail is critical to ensure that deadlines are met, and the overall efficiency of the accounts receivable process is maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Support the cash posting function and the Accounts Receivable claims department.
  • Manage the cash application process and reconcile outstanding claims.
  • Complete special accounts receivable projects as assigned.
  • Analyze and resolve aged claims effectively.
  • Reconcile various accounts and assist with the month-end close process.
  • Maintain excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Work independently while prioritizing projects and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma.
  • At least three years of experience with Medicaid, Medicare, Private Insurance, and MCO claims account receivables, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with high-volume claims processing.
