About the position

The Accounts Receivable position at Social Row Transitional Care is a part-time role responsible for managing the overall functions of the Accounts Receivable office. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as adhering to directives from the administrator and controller. The role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the facility by overseeing billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and following up on accounts to ensure payments are received monthly. The position requires a proactive approach to managing accounts receivable, including the preparation of monthly reports, making collection calls for delinquent accounts, and consulting with the admission coordinator regarding the financial status of new admissions. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate billing information for Human Services, managing the monthly census, and processing daily bank deposits. The Accounts Receivable staff member will also assist residents and their families with any billing inquiries they may have, ensuring a high level of customer service and support.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all billing, including resource payments due, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Follow up on billing to ensure accounts are paid on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and check accounts receivable monthly reports for accuracy and make necessary corrections.
  • Make collection calls for all delinquent accounts.
  • Consult with the admission coordinator regarding the financial status of new admissions.
  • Complete monthly billing information for Human Services.
  • Maintain an accurate monthly census.
  • Make daily bank deposits.
  • Process billing for various vendors used in-house.
  • Assist residents and families with questions regarding billing issues.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Working knowledge of computers and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions and recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and implement billing and accounting techniques.
  • Ability to safeguard the confidentiality of resident records and promote resident rights.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare setting or with billing in a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding resident rights and billing practices.
