The Accounts Receivable Associate will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the organization and ensuring smooth operations in the accounts receivable department. The Accounts Receivable Associate will be responsible for preparing, posting, verifying, and recording customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. This includes creating invoices according to company practices and submitting them to customers. The associate will also maintain and update customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions. Drafting correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections is another key responsibility, as well as identifying delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacting delinquent accountholders to request payment. The role requires creating reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested and researching customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff. Collaboration is essential in this position, as the Accounts Receivable Associate will work closely with the AR lead to reconcile accounts receivable on a monthly basis. Additionally, the associate will assist in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger and help the Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month. The role also involves copying, filing, and retrieving materials for accounts receivable as needed and relaying changes of information to appropriate employees. Some assistance with accounts payable or revenue invoicing duties may also be required.
