About the position

The Accounts Receivable position is focused on managing financial transactions related to customer billing and collections within the construction or trades industry. The role involves ensuring accurate invoicing, maintaining communication with customers regarding their balances, and performing project reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and be proficient in Excel to manage and analyze financial data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage lien waivers and contract billing processes.
• Perform project reconciliation with detailed breakdowns for customers.
• Invoice customers accurately and timely.
• Make outbound calls to customers regarding remaining balances from completed projects.
• Submit draws and verify follow-up with customers when they are due.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address issues as they arise.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
• Handle email correspondence, acknowledging incoming emails and researching responses for customers or vendors.
• Build basic Excel spreadsheets with formulas and tabs that feed data to a main page.

Requirements

• Experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.
• Familiarity with lien waivers and contract billing processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets with formulas and tabs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
