About the position

The Accounts Receivable specialist will be responsible for managing the invoicing and collection process, maintaining accurate records of accounts receivable, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity in Eugene, Oregon, and requires proficiency in accounts receivable processes and the ability to collaborate with various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and manage the strategic objectives of the company's accounts receivable cycle.
  • Apply checks, electronic payments, and credit card payments to customer accounts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Regularly monitor customer accounts receivable balances and accurately track and resolve any outstanding payment issues.
  • Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, along with ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries related to customer accounts.
  • Assist with both internal and external auditing procedures.
  • Utilize the Sage 100 ERP system proficiently and maintain a strong understanding of billing and financial concepts.
  • Accurately process numerical data while exhibiting excellent time management skills and an ability to prioritize work.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all tasks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in Billing operations
  • Capable of performing Data Entry tasks with high accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions
  • Experience with Sage 100 software for accounting tasks
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
