We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounts Receivable professional to join our team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date resident accounts, collaborating closely with family members, residents, and social services to ensure all necessary documentation is submitted. This role requires multitasking and working with strict deadlines to ensure timely processing of statements, deposits, and payments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage remote deposits using banking software.
  • Post deposits accurately in the accounting software.
  • Generate and distribute resident statements.
  • Clearly explain resident statements to residents and families.
  • Enter Personal Care Services (PCS) into NC Tracks.
  • Review aging accounts and collaborate with the Finance Director on past-due accounts.
  • Handle ancillary billing items.
  • Stay updated on changes and updates related to NC Tracks.
  • Serve as the point of contact with the Department of Social Services for Special Assistance.
  • Request resident refunds after discharge.
  • Perform any additional duties as directed by management.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and their families.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Excel.
  • Excellent reading and writing skills.
  • Experience in accounting/accounts receivable; medical accounting experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to multitask and manage deadlines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the accounting field (an associate's degree in a related field is a plus).
  • Experience with PointClickCare software.
  • Familiarity with Sage accounting software.
