About the position

Family-owned Truck Center Companies is one of America's largest Freightliner dealers, founded in 1975. The Omaha, Nebraska-based dealership has expanded to 17 locations across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Minnesota, employing over 1100 individuals. The company operates under the belief that the success of its customers and employees contributes to the overall success of the nation. Currently, Truck Center Companies is seeking a dedicated individual to join their Shared Services, Accounts Receivable team. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the company by ensuring accurate processing of customer payments and addressing any billing inquiries. The ideal candidate will project a positive and professional attitude while managing customer interactions and will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including auditing daily cash sales, reconciling payments, and maintaining customer accounts. The position requires effective communication skills to resolve customer concerns and discrepancies, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with internal departments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for entering new customer accounts into the system and maintaining necessary tax forms for designated customers.

Responsibilities

• Project a positive, helpful, and professional attitude to customers.
• Answer and respond to incoming phone calls in a timely manner.
• Address and resolve customer questions and concerns.
• Audit daily cash sales and balance to previous day's cash.
• Reconcile and post customer's payments received on account.
• Process and post customer's credit card payments.
• Contact customers for payment on past due and/or over limit accounts.
• Lead decision making of designated locations on further sales for over-limit or past due accounts.
• Work with customers and internal departments to resolve bill questions or discrepancies.
• Enter new customer accounts into the system.
• Maintain designated customer's Tax Forms.

Requirements

• Capable of lifting up to 45 lbs.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Efficient typing skills.
• Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience is a plus.
