About the position

Franz Family Bakery, a leading bakery founded in 1906, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Vancouver, WA. This position is essential in managing the financial transactions related to our customer accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing research and analytics to resolve discrepancies, maintaining customer accounts, and working closely with both internal and external customers to ensure proper account balances. The role requires daily communication with customers and the ability to navigate various invoicing systems and customer portals effectively. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be tasked with reconciling and monitoring customer accounts, reviewing them for accuracy, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. You will also manage the aging of assigned accounts, communicate any slow-moving accounts to your supervisor, and engage management in any accounts receivable issues that may occur. Responsibilities

  • Reconcile, maintain, and monitor customer accounts.
  • Review accounts for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with customers and various departments.
  • Work with customers to stay current on payments and set up payment schedules.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of electronic sales data from external customers.
  • Communicate daily with internal and external customers via phone, mail, and email.
  • Manage daily/weekly/monthly aging for assigned accounts.
  • Explain slow-moving accounts or open items to the Supervisor concisely.
  • Engage management in any AR issues that arise.
  • Support and adhere to Franz Core Values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required; bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills required.
  • Advanced Excel skills required (i.e. VLookup, SumIF, Pivot Tables, etc.).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving capability.
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
