About the position

Elwood Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional for a Temp-to-Hire position located in White City, OR. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.00 and is designed for full-time work, specifically during the first shift from Monday through Friday, from 06:00 am to 02:30 pm. The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing or wood products industry, and will be responsible for managing customer payments across multiple entities in accordance with company policies. In this position, you will be tasked with monitoring customer accounts for late payments, partial payments, and discounts taken. You will also advise management on the status of accounts receivable, organize and initiate collection efforts, and resolve any issues related to accounts receivable effectively. Additionally, you will balance integrated software systems on a weekly and monthly basis, as well as balance bank cash daily. Communication with customers will be a key part of your role, as you will need to reach out via telephone, email, mail, or in person to arrange payments on delinquent accounts. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of accounts receivable experience and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Windows-based software systems are essential. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains software is considered a plus. The role demands excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a sense of urgency to meet various deadlines. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are crucial for success in this role. Candidates may be subject to a background check and a pre-employment drug screen (excluding THC) as a condition of employment. Responsibilities

  • Timely process customer payments for multiple entities according to company policy

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years accounts receivable experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficient in MS Office with an emphasis in Excel
  • Familiarity with Windows-based software systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains software is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
