About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing incoming payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing excellent customer service. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly in accounts receivable processes.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming payments and apply them to the appropriate accounts in a timely manner.
• Analyze account discrepancies and resolve issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment terms, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Complete weekly Collections reports.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status for management review.
• Support the finance department with various technical accounting tasks as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts receivable or related fields such as public accounting or customer service.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial data accurately.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
• Knowledge of collection processes is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in Quickbooks, Open Invoice, Ariba, and Coupa.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
