About the position

Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join an industry leader distributor specializing in concrete in Sun Valley, CA. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing customer payments, and collaborating with the Credit Department to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely processing of customer payments.
  • Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile financial reports with account balances.
  • Facilitate vendor payments, including verification of federal ID numbers and resolving discrepancies.
  • Credit outstanding obligations upon payment and identify discount opportunities.
  • Assist with accounting records by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
  • Create and submit invoices to customers according to company practices.
  • Process new account applications and contact references for credit approval.
  • Draft correspondence for past-due accounts and collections, and contact delinquent accountholders.
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the Credit department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and work proactively.
