About the position

The Operations Program Manager (OPM) will oversee and manage a major program within the Advanced Compact EW Solutions Product Line at BAE Systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful transition of products from development to production, as well as managing the sustainment of these products. The OPM will serve as the main operations focal point for a significant production program, working closely with various teams including project management, engineering design, quality assurance, and factory leadership. The position requires a strong focus on production build schedules, ensuring that parts and assemblies are delivered on or ahead of schedule. The OPM will also be responsible for initiating technical insertions and transitioning to production for follow-on program orders, collaborating with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to develop and execute strategies for high-risk parts. In addition to managing production schedules, the OPM will prepare and implement project execution plans, identifying the necessary technical, manufacturing, and business resources required for program success. This includes managing budgets, quality, and schedules to meet programmatic deliverables. The OPM will assess issues and lead teams to develop resolutions that align with productivity, affordability, quality, and customer satisfaction goals. Furthermore, the OPM will ensure that program forecasts are updated and that all factories are aware of their future demand and staffing needs. Identifying and mitigating technical and schedule risks is also a critical aspect of this role, as is interfacing and coordinating production priorities within the Product Line. A current and active Secret Clearance is required for this position, as it is a government contract role that mandates U.S. citizenship.
