About the position

The Acquisition Account Executive is responsible for identifying and acquiring new customers for Avaya solutions. This role requires a strong technical sales background, excellent communication skills, and a disciplined approach to outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will engage with prospective clients, conduct sales presentations, manage the sales pipeline, and collaborate with marketing and technical teams to develop effective sales strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and online research.
  • Build and foster relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored Avaya solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to C-level executives to showcase the benefits and features of Avaya solutions.
  • Manage and update the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales activities and progress.
  • Work closely with the marketing and technical teams to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify potential areas for growth.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process, addressing any inquiries or concerns.

Requirements

  • Five years minimum experience in acquisition sales, preferably in the technology or telecommunications industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in meeting sales targets and other KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of Avaya solutions and their applications, specifically Avaya Experience Platform and Avaya cloud voice solutions.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience selling to healthcare, education, or state government entities.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and SalesLoft preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
