About the position

We are looking for a dedicated Acquisition Application Manager to join our team. As an Acquisition Manager, you will play a key role in optimizing our acquisition strategies to support the organization's objectives. This position requires a strong understanding of IT system administration, procurement processes, and federal acquisition regulations. You will be tasked with developing and implementing effective procurement strategies that align with the organization's goals while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Acquisition Application Manager will also be responsible for managing relationships with vendors and stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in a fair and transparent manner. You will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve complex problems effectively. Additionally, you will be expected to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and acquisition management. This role is crucial for the success of our organization, and we are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence in procurement practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the acquisition process for goods and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience in information technology systems or related tasks may substitute for the degree.
  • Extensive knowledge in IT System Administration, Contract Specialist, or Procurement Analyst roles.
  • Understanding of DoD acquisition system policies and procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the federal acquisition process and contracting principles.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Understanding of the DoD Procurement Data Standard.
