About the position

Bowhead seeks a couple of Acquisition Business Analysts to support the PM CCS contract at Picatinny, NJ. The Business Analysts will be responsible for providing recommendations on the considerations and application of cost analysis. They will maintain knowledge of current acquisition policy and major supporting requirements that relate to life cycle forecasting. The role requires ensuring proper structuring, analysis, and presentation of costs to Government decision makers. Essential functions will include maintaining surveillance over all actions or proposed actions that impact PM CCS programs to ensure cost implications are consolidated in a timely manner. Additionally, the analysts will apply their professional expertise in broad cost estimating matters to all phases of the material life cycle. They will assist in fulfilling audit compliance requirements, including Unmatched Transitions (UMTs), Joint Reconciliation Program (JRP), and Audit Inventory Valuations. The position also involves performing updates to multiple SharePoint modules as required, including the Financial Execution Module, Command Accountability and Execution Review (CAER) program, IDoc error reporting system, and Unfunded Requirements (UFR) modules. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a business field is required (waivers may be granted).
  • 5-8 years of professional related experience is required.
  • Experience working independently and applying scientific analysis to managerial problems.
  • Competence in program estimating functions, schedule planning and control, and related technical functions.
  • Professional knowledge of principles, practices, methods, and techniques of various disciplines.
  • Competence in rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis to design, develop, and adapt mathematical, statistical, economic, and other scientific methods and techniques.

Nice-to-haves

  • A graduate degree is desired but not required.
  • Possessing an active secret clearance is preferred.
