The Acquisition Logistics Manager position is a critical role that requires a comprehensive understanding of logistics and acquisition processes within the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is based 100% onsite at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, and is structured as a 6-month contract with the potential for hire. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking all moving parts that impact Joint Command and Control (JCWA) components and subcomponents, ensuring that all logistics operations align with the strategic objectives of the DoD. In this role, the Acquisition Logistics Manager will feed essential data to the DoD Air Force architect, which is crucial for maintaining operational readiness and efficiency. The manager will also be expected to understand and manage JCW tools within the armory, ensuring that all tools are utilized effectively and maintained according to standards. Additionally, the position involves tracking Sustainment Portfolio Operations (SPO) refresh schedules and supporting the Lead Agent role for JCWA system sustainment. The manager will oversee sustainment portfolios with SPOs for which the team has lead command, including JCW and JDE. This includes monitoring SPOs, setting standards, and tracking sustainment requirements to ensure that all components are operational and meet the necessary criteria. The Acquisition Logistics Manager will also advocate for UP and JCC2 as needed, playing a vital role in the overall logistics strategy and execution.
