About the position

The Acquisition Logistics Support - Senior Logistics Manager at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is responsible for developing long-term supportability strategies for weapon systems in alignment with the Government's acquisition goals. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the effective management of logistics support documentation and technical data, ultimately contributing to the lifecycle management of defense programs.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Program Manager (PM), Product Support Manager (PSM), and Acquisitions Logistics team to develop acquisition and supportability strategies.
  • Support the review and generation of logistics support documentation, including Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP).
  • Participate in integrated product support management team meetings and program management reviews.
  • Assist in producing or reviewing documents that support acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
  • Perform Technical Data management and analyses, writing reports and recommending actions for logistics capabilities.
  • Prepare data management plans, TO validation and verification plans, and TO management plans.
  • Assist in identifying engineering data requirements and data rights claims.
  • Review, track, and monitor verification and delivery of engineering/technical data.
  • Develop, modify, prepare, and validate documentation related to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems.

Requirements

  • 10 years' experience working in DoD logistics and acquisitions
  • 10 years' experience with USAF Technical Data and Technical Order management
  • Experience developing and interpreting high-level project/work plans
  • Experience with MS Office System productivity suites and project management software
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, logistics or project management discipline (or 15-20 years of related experience in lieu of a degree)

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a DoD System Program Office
  • Prior experience as an operator, maintainer and/or manager of a DoD platform
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) credentials/certificates
