COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for Acquisition Managers (Journeyman) positions in support of a USAF contract. This position will provide support to the program in various areas including Government Acquisition, Status Reporting, Program Analysis, Requirements Development, Capability Planning, Program Integration, Document Preparation, Program Coordination, Program Execution, Schedule Project Management, External Mission Partner Coordination, Program Reviews, Director's Action Group/Program Execution Group Support, and Working Group/Integrated Product Team Participation. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of DoD acquisition processes and analytical methods to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by the US Government. The Acquisition Manager will assist in drawing conclusions and devising solutions to problems relating to the improvement of acquisition effectiveness and compliance, as well as developing and drafting acquisition documentation and assisting with quality control. The Acquisition Manager will support key acquisition events and reviews, such as System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and others as applicable. The position also involves establishing and maintaining databases, developing and analyzing key program metrics, and effectively communicating recommendations to higher organizational management. The role requires assisting in the planning, organizing, and presenting assessments of program/project activity management concepts, analyses, studies, and procedures to the US Government. In addition, the Acquisition Manager will support the development, review, and approval processes for requirements document development and the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process. The position also includes supporting USG implementation of policies, processes, and tools for capability planning and development, as well as assisting in the management of action items following program reviews and briefings. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and advocating improvements to existing and proposed Air Force Operational Support capability requirements, ensuring that all aspects of program cost, schedule, and performance are supported effectively.
