About the position

The RealReal is seeking an Acquisition Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team in San Francisco, California. This pivotal role reports directly to the Vice President of Acquisition Marketing and is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of various marketing channels including Paid Social, Influencers, Affiliate, Display, and Direct Mail. As a key member of the Acquisition Marketing team, you will play a crucial role in driving results for our rapidly growing company. You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholder teams, including product, merchandising, creative, analytics, and others within the acquisition team, to ensure cohesive and effective marketing strategies. In this role, you will lead the planning, management, and execution of campaigns across paid social, display, influencers, affiliate, and direct mail. This includes account setup, strategy development, campaign structure, budget management, optimizations, and invoice management. You will manage campaigns on platforms such as Meta and TikTok, focusing on DPA product feeds, audience targeting, and providing creative recommendations and optimizations. As a subject matter expert in Paid Social trends and best practices, you will educate relevant teams and maintain strong relationships with Paid Social representatives to optimize performance and leverage new opportunities. You will be responsible for delivering accurate weekly and monthly paid media performance reports to Marketing and Brand partners, analyzing the business performance of paid media channels, and making recommendations for incremental investment and efficiency improvements. Additionally, you will develop strategies and work with stakeholders to implement tests, participate in betas, and report on results, providing recommendations for roll-out. Partnering with the internal creative team to test and optimize creative assets will also be a key part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Meta and TikTok campaigns including DPA product feeds, audience targeting, and creative recommendations/optimizations.
  • Acts as subject matter expert on Paid Social trends and best practices and educates relevant teams.
  • Maintains a close relationship with Paid Social representatives to optimize performance and leverage new opportunities.
  • Ensures weekly and monthly paid media performance reports are delivered to Marketing and Brand partners accurately and on time.
  • Analyzes business performance of paid media channels and makes recommendations on incremental investment and improving efficiency.
  • Develops strategy and works with stakeholders to implement tests, participate in betas, and report out on results and develop recommendations for roll-out.
  • Partners with the internal creative team to test and optimize creative.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in growth/performance marketing.
  • 1-2 years experience leading and mentoring team members.
  • Hands-on management in social platforms (Meta, TikTok) and Affiliate (Impact Radius).
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in analyzing raw data, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience in proper campaign set-up and QA, execution, and budget management.
  • Highly collaborative with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with advanced measurement methodology including attribution and incremental lift testing.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Marketplace experience (buyers and sellers) preferred.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker).
