About the position

As an Acquisition Operations Lead at Booz Allen, you will play a crucial role in managing the acquisition and contracts lifecycle for federal clients, particularly in defense. This position involves leading a team of professionals, overseeing the development of procurement request packages, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for improving acquisition processes and supporting the warfighter's mission by managing full RFP packages and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experienced professionals in acquisition operations.
  • Oversee the development of procurement request packages and ensure safe handling of sensitive documents.
  • Drive operational cadence for the acquisition management team through executive reporting on active acquisitions.
  • Analyze status to identify and address process issues related to acquisition processes.
  • Provide acquisition expertise regarding statutory, regulatory, and policy updates impacting project success.
  • Create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to obtain concurrence on acquisition packages.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience with acquisition management.
  • Experience leading proactive management of acquisition actions and elevating issues related to task order awards.
  • Ability to ensure client acquisition processes and standards are applied to all items.
  • Experience collaborating with Technical SMEs on acquisition package reviews prior to client approval.
  • Experience coordinating changes to acquisition packages based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Knowledge of full systems development life cycle and enterprise-wide network engineering.
  • Ability to manage cost, schedule, and performance effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, or Business.
