About the position

The Acquisition Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME) at Systems Technology & Research, Inc. will support an Army Aviation Project Office in Huntsville, AL. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with acquisition pathway policies and procedures, advising on best practices, and facilitating the successful execution of rapid prototyping and fielding efforts. The position requires a deep understanding of DoD acquisition processes, particularly the Middle Tier of Acquisition pathway, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an acquisition strategic planner and senior advisor responsible for coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Provide SME level program management, acquisition oversight, and acquisition systems management of weapon systems and capabilities.
• Assist in acquisition strategy development utilizing multiple DoD acquisition pathways including Major Capability Acquisition, Middle Tier of Acquisition, Software Acquisition, and Urgent Capability Acquisition.
• Ensure compliance with MTA policies and procedures, advising on best practices, and assisting in the successful execution of rapid prototyping and rapid fielding efforts.
• Support the development of various acquisition milestone documents and completion of various acquisition reports.
• Support rapid delivery of critical capabilities and technologies.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years' experience.
• Previous experience in a US Army Project or Product Office providing high level support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including budget planning and integrated master scheduling.
• Strong organizational skills and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently is required.
• Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.

• Experience in either a DoD Program Office or equivalent commercial setting.
