About the position

The Acquisition Program Management Analyst will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in Washington, DC, by coordinating acquisition documents and plans, assisting with program performance assessments, and providing administrative and technical support. This role involves collaboration with government personnel to prepare briefings, manage performance metrics, and respond to congressional inquiries, all while contributing to the mission of national security.

Responsibilities

  • Support CBP Component Acquisition Executive staff with the coordination of acquisition documents and plans.
  • Assist the Government personnel with preparing correspondence and briefings to programs and senior leaders.
  • Track actions related to acquisition governance and policy.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and improve performance metrics around acquisition governance and policy.
  • Support acquisition analysis, strategic planning, and technical support as assigned by the Director of Acquisition Policy and Oversight.
  • Coordinate inputs and prepare responses to Requests for Information from Congress, Reports and Letters to Congress, and Audits from the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and retain a CBP Background Investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Familiarity with DHS Management Directive 102-01.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
