About the position

The Acquisition Project Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the TSA National Explosives Detection Canine Program by assisting in the acquisition and procurement of products and services necessary for K9 training. This position involves collaboration with contracting officer representatives and requires a strong understanding of the acquisition lifecycle management process.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside contracting officer representatives (CORs) in support of acquisition lifecycle management.
• Review acquisition requests to ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
• Assist in establishing and updating a repository for contract artifacts, best practices, and SOPs.
• Perform duties in support of acquisition planning and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) to advise and resolve any issues.
• Assist the client with start to finish acquisition lifecycle management support by tracking the status of acquisition packages and communicating with customers throughout the acquisition process.
• Support the development of acquisition packages.
• Prepare and maintain reports and records to include capturing, analyzing, detailing, and updating project information (status, metrics, outputs, etc.)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Ability to organize, set priorities, and determine resource requirements
• Experience working in a team environment that is process-oriented and deadline-driven while exercising problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to create a path forward with minimal oversight
• Experience with Acquisition Lifecycle Process
• Experience with understanding the federal contracting processes/documents (SOW, SOO, Market Research, IGCE, ITAR, P-Cards)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience with SharePoint is preferred
