About the position

The Acquisition Specialist (Procurement) Analyst role at AVIAN LLC is designed to support the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Office (PMA-262) in Patuxent River, Maryland. This position focuses on the development of program acquisition documentation and ensuring compliance with specifications and contracts. The role emphasizes continuous learning and employee engagement, fostering a supportive environment for both personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of program acquisition documentation such as Acquisition Plans (AP), Acquisition Strategy Reports (ASR), Procurement Initiation Documentation (PID), Statement of Work (SOW), funding documents, Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs), and Acquisition Program Baseline Agreements (APBA).
• Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.
• Attend, participate, support, analyze, provide input, develop, prepare and report on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards.
• Work with PMT and CSPT to provide PPC support along with general acquisition support.
• Utilize knowledge and experience with AMS to effectively contribute to the team.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or allowable substitutions (an associate degree plus two years of additional work experience, or four years of additional work experience performing relevant duties).
• Three to ten years of experience performing duties described in the functional description.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
