About the position

The Acquisition Specialist SME will support Koniag Professional Services and its government clients in Washington, DC, focusing on establishing and achieving acquisition goals, developing policies and training, and providing strategic consulting services. This role requires a Public Trust Clearance and involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance acquisition processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with establishing goals, objectives, timelines, and critical indicators to track and measure progress.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines to support repeatable and sustainable work activities.
  • Create templates, job aids, checklists, work instructions, and learning materials.
  • Develop and facilitate acquisitions/financial assistance training.
  • Identify activities and execute implementation of business processes in support of specialized projects.
  • Track progress and performance, incorporating feedback and lessons learned to enhance documentation and training efforts.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Provide direct analysis and recommendations regarding acquisition or related matters.
  • Develop acquisition strategies and provide strategic consulting services on contractual matters.
  • Lead budget execution and formulation, analyzing and reporting critical financial data.
  • Provide guidance in technical/strategic business planning, analysis, and project management.
  • Support documentation development for acquisition planning and project management.
  • Plan, prepare, track, and maintain acquisition lifecycle documentation.

Requirements

  • FAC-C or DAWIA Level III Certified in Contracting or equivalent (i.e. CPCM or CFCM).
  • Highly developed writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with personnel at all levels.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other procurement regulations.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Oracle Based Programs, including PeopleSoft.
  • BS or BA degree with 15 years' experience or MS degree with 10 years' experience.
