About the position

ABSC is seeking an Acquisition Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a TS/SCI clearance to provide acquisition and systems engineering expertise in support of the NGA mission in Washington, DC. This role involves direct interaction with contract officer representatives and senior leadership, focusing on acquisition planning, document preparation, and stakeholder communication to ensure effective contract management and support for intelligence operations.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and coordinate acquisition plans, statements of work, and justification documentation.
• Support AI/ML acquisition and contract decision boards as required.
• Assist Government leads and PM/CORs in developing contract status briefings and updating dashboards.
• Create and support acquisition financial and budget reports, including visual aids for senior leadership briefings.
• Perform day-to-day acquisition planning in accordance with the program's acquisition strategy.
• Brief leadership and intelligence consumers on complex acquisition and technology topics.
• Coordinate with peers and stakeholders to support contract management activities.
• Communicate issues clearly and professionally to relevant stakeholders.
• Identify and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Experience building Statement of Works/Performance Work Statements and procurement packages.
• Extensive acquisition experience and familiarity with DoD acquisition processes.
• Specialized experience supporting the Intelligence Community in acquisition lifecycle management or systems engineering projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with NGA acquisition or pre-acquisition engineering projects.
• Experience with systems engineering and/or software activities at NGA, DOD, or other IC members.
• AI/ML experience in a PMO, industry, or academia.
• Experience with DOD or other IC entities in acquisition or contract management.
