About the position

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Acquisitions/Finance Project Manager II to support Kadiak and our government customer. This position is a remote opportunity and requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. The role involves direct experience in supporting health IT program management and business processes, with a strong emphasis on project management skills. The Project Manager II will take projects from original concept through final implementation, interfacing with all areas affected by the project, including end users. This position requires maintaining relationships both within KGS and with client leadership, ensuring transparency, reporting, and successful project outcomes. The Project Manager II will define project scope and objectives, develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Additionally, the role involves identifying risks, concerns, or issues and escalating them to management as appropriate. The Project Manager II will conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis, ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables. The incumbent will also recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Direct experience supporting health IT program management and business processes
  • Expert Excel skills (pivots, etc.)
  • Proficient writing skills to support process documentation
  • Proficient experience with project management tools/systems (Planview, MS Project, etc.)
  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation
  • Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users
  • Management of cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Maintain relationships both within KGS and with client leadership
  • Applying project management skills to ensure transparency, reporting, and successful projects
  • Defines project scope and objectives
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Determines program needs and directs project management as needed
  • Identifies risks, concerns, or issues and escalates to management as appropriate
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Experience with Major Health IT investment management for reporting and audit requirements, Capital Planning and Investment Control experience
  • 10+ years of Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Strong communications skills in verbal presentations and written documents
  • Problem solving skills in personnel management, project management, and providing deliverables
  • Proficiency in project planning and monitoring progress of projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
