About the position

The Acquisitions Operations Specialist will support a federal contract in Stafford, VA, focusing on providing high-level acquisition and personnel support. This role requires a deep understanding of DoD and federal acquisition processes, particularly within the Marine Corps context, and involves working closely with senior leadership to ensure compliance with acquisition regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing federal contract operations related to acquisitions.
• Communicate complex acquisition concepts to high-level leadership, including General Officers and SES-level authorities.
• Ensure compliance with the Department of the Navy's Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Operating Guide.
• Assist in the implementation of service Chief and ASN RD&A authorities regarding acquisitions.
• Provide personnel and acquisition support across a broad scope of PM Competency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DoD acquisitions, preferably with Marine Corps specific experience.
• Active Secret clearance is required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Pro and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, TEAMS, SharePoint Online, Visio).
• Understanding of the latest DAWIA Operating Guide and DAU competency certification requirements.
• Knowledge of Marine Acquisition Officer Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) and Marine Corps Officer Career Progression.
• In-depth knowledge of DoD and federal acquisition statutes and regulations.
