About the position

The Acquisitions Portfolio Manager at Amazon Data Services, Inc. plays a pivotal role in managing the AMER pipeline of requests for payment to vendors associated with data center purchase transactions and other special projects. This includes urgent payments such as appraisal fees, wetland credits, or rezoning fees. The position is critical in overseeing the manual processes involved in the ingestion of payment requests from Transactions Managers into the appropriate payment tool. The manager will confirm the availability of CAR funds, raise purchase orders as needed, and liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure timely delivery of funds for closings or other critical transactions. In addition to handling real estate transactions, the Acquisitions Portfolio Manager serves as the primary point of contact for payments related to DC Divest purchases. This role requires a strong understanding of interpreting contracts and related documentation, as well as partnering with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments. Regular audits of processes are necessary to ensure compliance with internal Spend & Transaction Policies and contractual terms. The manager will also support contract and payment inquiries or issues for both internal and external customers. Working within AWS, the Acquisitions Portfolio Manager will be part of a diverse team that includes software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. The role emphasizes collaboration across AWS to maintain high standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers. Responsibilities

  • Manage the AMER pipeline of requests for payment to vendors associated with data center purchase transactions.
  • Oversee the manual processes of ingestion of payment requests from Transactions Managers into the appropriate payment tool.
  • Confirm the availability of CAR funds and raise purchase orders as needed.
  • Liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure timely delivery of funds for closings or other critical transactions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payments related to DC Divest purchases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related fields.
  • Seven or more years of experience in lease administration software.
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate principles and financial concepts.
  • Understanding of lease administration processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • AA degree or Certifications in Business, Commercial Real Estate Management or related experience.
  • Minimum two years working with lease administration software.
  • Minimum three years working at, or consulting for a Commercial Real Estate company.
