The Acquisitions Portfolio Manager at Amazon Data Services, Inc. plays a pivotal role in managing the AMER pipeline of requests for payment to vendors associated with data center purchase transactions and other special projects. This includes urgent payments such as appraisal fees, wetland credits, or rezoning fees. The position is critical in overseeing the manual processes involved in the ingestion of payment requests from Transactions Managers into the appropriate payment tool. The manager will confirm the availability of CAR funds, raise purchase orders as needed, and liaise with Accounts Payable to ensure timely delivery of funds for closings or other critical transactions. In addition to handling real estate transactions, the Acquisitions Portfolio Manager serves as the primary point of contact for payments related to DC Divest purchases. This role requires a strong understanding of interpreting contracts and related documentation, as well as partnering with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payments. Regular audits of processes are necessary to ensure compliance with internal Spend & Transaction Policies and contractual terms. The manager will also support contract and payment inquiries or issues for both internal and external customers. Working within AWS, the Acquisitions Portfolio Manager will be part of a diverse team that includes software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers.
