About the position

The Acquisition Business Operations Manager at ALTA IT is responsible for coordinating staff actions across the office, managing correspondence processes for Government Leadership, and supporting the CDAO's Acquisition Office. This role requires a proactive approach to handling conflicting needs and ensuring timely completion of projects under deadline pressure. The manager will analyze data priorities, develop action plans, and participate in relevant working groups to align with the overall strategic vision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates staff actions across the office.
  • Prioritizes conflicting needs and handles matters expeditiously.
  • Performs data-oriented Action Officer functions in support of the CDAO's Acquisition Office Senior Executive.
  • Analyzes data priorities, goals, and objectives to identify tasks required to achieve goals.
  • Develops, coordinates, manages, and oversees plans of action for data tasks.
  • Evaluates performance results and recommends changes to the plan of action as needed.
  • Participates in CDAO Acquisition-related Working Groups to ensure proper consideration of equities.
  • Monitors, tasks, and tracks internal and external staffing actions for the Acquisition Office.
  • Drafts correspondence on behalf of Government Leadership for review/approval.
  • Manages correspondence processes for Government Leadership and tracks all suspense's for timeliness.
  • Establishes and assists with implementation of organization-wide business operations processes.
  • Manages the quality of correspondence provided to Government Leadership.
  • Assists Government leadership in coordinating tasks across work streams to ensure alignment with strategic vision.
  • Performs technical writing/editing and documentation review for various documents.
  • Assists team members in other specialties as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Extensive experience working for an Acquisition Senior Executive Service leader or as an executive officer to a Military Flag Officer.
  • Deep knowledge of senior-level Action Officer functions.
  • Experience developing and reviewing acquisition documentation and strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and DoD-specific acquisition policies.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to uphold discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ability to build presentations from conceptual discussions.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to manage a demanding workload.
  • Knowledge of the DoD Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS).
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership courage.
  • Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills; proficient in MS Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with the PPBE process is highly desired.
