About the position

The ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Manager at District 19 Community Services Board is responsible for overseeing the Assertive Community Treatment program, which provides a coordinated set of services for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. This role involves managing a self-contained interdisciplinary team of medical, behavioral health, and rehabilitation professionals, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing direct services to consumers as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and oversee day-to-day operations of the ACT program.
  • Interface with community organizations and serve on required boards and committees.
  • Provide direct services to ACT consumers as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive and service-specific needs assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and oversee team operations.
  • Provide crisis intervention and prescreening to individuals in the ACT program as needed.
  • Attend to program emergencies and crises after normal business hours.

Requirements

  • Must be an LMHP (LCSW or LPC) with at least three years of experience in mental health services for adults with serious mental illness.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive and service-specific needs assessments.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of ACT licensure and Medicaid regulations relating to services under their authority.
  • Experience in electronic record keeping.
