About the position

The Acting Store Manager/Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining inventory, and preparing daily sales reports. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to train and develop staff while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the store.
  • Supervise staff and ensure execution of company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare daily store closing reports and ensure timely reporting to headquarters.
  • Provide excellent customer service and train new staff as needed.
  • Supervise actions of store associates within the department.
  • Maintain healthy inventory and implement loss prevention strategies.
  • Create employee schedules and assign responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of store management experience.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and train staff.
  • Basic accounting knowledge to complete daily sales reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer service (3 years preferred).
