About the position

The Activation Specialist for Jacksonville Radio is a part-time, entry-level role that serves as a Brand Ambassador for the radio stations at various events and on social media. This position involves assisting the promotions team with event preparation, contest fulfillment, and content creation across departments. The role requires exceptional communication skills and an energetic personality, with responsibilities that include engaging with the public, setting up promotional equipment, and creating social media content.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with the public at events ranging from client locations to major festivals and concerts.
• Showing up professionally on-site at events, in the office, and on social media.
• Representing each radio station in the cluster through knowledge of and passion for the brands.
• Setting up and breaking down station sound and promotional equipment at events.
• Creating and posting engaging content, photos, and videos on station social media.
• Assisting with organization and maintenance of station vehicles and promotional equipment.
• Composing accurate and detailed event recaps for management.
• Effectively communicating with listeners via email, phone, and in-person.
• Assisting in various departments throughout the station as needed.

Requirements

• Must be a professional team player with customer focus and ability to take initiative and direction.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Highly adaptable and professional.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to multi-task in a high-speed environment.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills including grammar, spelling, and the ability to tailor copywriting to each station's brand voice.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the year.
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice-to-haves

• College coursework in marketing, public relations, digital media, preferred.
• Videography, event coordination, customer service, and/or social media skills preferred.
