About the position

The Active Directory Engineer (IAM) - Security position is a specialized role focused on managing and securing Microsoft-based infrastructure, particularly in messaging and directory services. The role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering, operations, and management, with an emphasis on high-availability environments and advanced security practices. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and managing identity and access management solutions, ensuring secure access to applications and data, and providing technical support for IAM systems.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, administrate, and operate information security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Antivirus, and network traffic analyzers.
  • Utilize advanced scripting and tool automation skills, including Perl and PowerShell.
  • Develop, lead, and execute information security incident response plans.
  • Create standard and complex IT solutions and services based on business requirements and industry standards.
  • Leverage dynamic and static code assessment tools to measure application vulnerabilities throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience as a messaging and Active Directory Enterprise Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • 10 years of experience in design and build of Active Directory and Exchange servers.
  • 10 years of experience in design and build of LDAP systems.
  • 6 years of PowerShell scripting experience.
  • 10 years of advanced knowledge of email routing and security.
  • 5 years of expert knowledge of O365.
  • 10 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving Active Directory issues.
  • 6 years of experience with email hygiene services/platforms such as IronPort and EOP.
  • 6 years of expert knowledge of email and Active Directory high availability technologies.
  • 7 years of knowledge in Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
  • 3 years of strong understanding of Microsoft cloud infrastructure.
  • 7 years of strong articulation and communication skills for interaction with System Administrators.
  • 5 years of ability to create technical documents and white papers.
  • 6-10 years of experience developing standard and complex IT solutions and services driven by business requirements and industry standards.
  • 6-10 years of experience leading projects to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
