About the position

The Java Backend Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing backend solutions using Java technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle, from inception to implementation. The developer will work with various AWS services and frameworks to create scalable and efficient applications, ensuring high performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement backend solutions using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
• Participate in Agile software development practices throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, and SQS for application development.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and web services using Java Spring framework.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in live production environments, performing root cause analysis as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain and improve existing software applications and systems.

Requirements

• Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, RDS, SQS, and SNS.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design methodologies.
• Experience with web service technologies such as SOAP and REST.
• Familiarity with Java Design Patterns and JUnit for testing.
• Understanding of SDLC components including business analysis and software maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in designing APIs and services with scalability in mind.
• Knowledge of Apache Camel and encryption frameworks like JWT and KMS.
• Experience with streaming data platforms such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools for security analysis.
