About the position

The Activities Aide at WellBridge of Brighton is responsible for delivering and leading life enrichment programs that promote health and well-being. This role involves engaging residents in therapeutic activities that bring joy and fulfillment, while also fostering a positive environment for healing. The position offers flexible scheduling options and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and lead life enrichment programs daily.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport residents to and from activities.
• Evaluate patients based on their background, interests, abilities, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Completion of an approved nurse aide training program.
• Current CNA certification from the State of Michigan is required.
• 1+ year of related experience in long-term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent care.
• Team player dedicated to supporting team members.
