About the position

The Activities Assistant for Memory Care at Eternal Spring of Gilbert is responsible for developing and promoting a vibrant activity program tailored to the needs and interests of senior residents. This role involves planning, implementing, and supervising a variety of social, educational, recreational, and therapeutic activities, ensuring that residents are engaged and supported in their daily lives. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, and emphasizes a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents through meaningful interactions and activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, implementing, and supervising activities for residents.
• Encourage and promote resident participation in activities through effective communication.
• Help coordinate quarterly seminars or lecture series for residents and families.
• Involve and assist the Residents Council during their monthly meetings.
• Participate in local activity planners association and exchange ideas with other Lifestyle Directors.
• Assist in developing programs and activities for the monthly calendar.
• Edit and publish the monthly newsletter to keep residents informed.
• Assist at the front desk and cover for missing staff members when necessary.
• Represent the community by giving tours and marketing as needed.

Requirements

• Must possess a current state-specific driver's license and appropriate driving record.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Compassion for the elderly and self-motivation.
