About the position
The Activities Assistant (Memory Care) at Clarendale of Algonquin plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful activities that cater to their physical, mental, and social well-being. This position is integral to fostering a healthy community culture and ensuring that residents engage in diverse programs that meet their unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all resident activities including special events.
- Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.
- Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in disease prevention and management.
- Lead daily resident activities according to community standards.
- Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to community standards.
- Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs for a varied resident population.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Six months' experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Memory care experience preferred.
