About the position

The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors by planning and providing a variety of engaging activities. This part-time position focuses on meeting the mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs of residents, fostering a positive community atmosphere, and supporting volunteer programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and providing a variety of active and passive, group and individual activities for residents.
• Enhance the mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs of residents through assessments and activities.
• Assist with maintaining and expanding Volunteer Programs.
• Arrange transportation and escorts for residents to and from outside and community activities.

Requirements

• A passion for helping seniors.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work every other weekend.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid driver's license in the state of work is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Dementia Care Experience Preferred
• Creativity and motivational skills necessary.
